Marcin's serious involvement with photography dates back to 1996. The ability to instantenously capture a multitude of aspects of life, and, in a manner of speaking, steal from reality was what attracted him to this medium in the first place. MWS by Marcin Emilewicz Since then his interests and techniques have widened, but story-telling and a retrospective point of view remain his fundamental motivation.

Marcin uses both traditional film and digital cameras in his work. Nowadays the majority of his traditional photos are taken on a medium format film; however he also experiments with the simplicity of LOMO, which he often carries with him. The darkroom and computer are a natural part of the creation process for Marcin, and he always looks for new ways to enrich his narrative vocabulary.
